The NCR Corporation has provided funding for scholarships to Georgia State students majoring in certain STEM fields, including computer science. The scholarship provides an award of $1000 in the year after acceptance and $500 in each of the subsequent two years. Students who are accepted as NCR scholars will be admitted to Georgia State’s Honors College.

The program is restricted to full-time undergraduate students seeking a four-year degree who have U.S. citizenship or meet one of the FAFSA eligible noncitizen conditions. Applicants must have completed at least 12 but no more than 59 credit hours at Georgia State.

Students who are interested in applying for the scholarship should begin the process by emailing NCRScholars@gsu.edu. Applicants will be required to attend at least three seminars by the NCR Scholars staff on preparing for a career in science. They will also be asked to upload a resume, descriptions of three possible careers, and a personal statement.

NCR is a Georgia-based technology company that makes self-service kiosks, point-of-sale terminals, automated teller machines, check processing systems, barcode scanners, and business consumables.
