&lt;p&gt;Since the first case of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) was found in the USA in the early 1980s, AIDS has become one of the most severe and widely spread diseases all over the world. This disease is transmitted by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Based on the lifecycle of HIV, there are several drug targets to treat such disease, including the entry, replication, and maturation of the virus. Among all the inhibitors, HIV-1 protease and reverse transcriptase inhibitors are considered to be the most efficient.</description>
