Community resources play an important role in the daily lives of people living in the low-income neighborhoods of Atlanta. These resources include health care, child care, literacy training, education, welfare, social services, transportation, housing and neighborhood improvement, public safety, crime prevention and control, recreation, rural development, and community improvement. The Public Health Institute at Georgia State University has developed a comprehensive guide of inner-city community resources. The purpose of this project is to develop an interactive, mobile version of the community resources guide for researchers and social workers to better serve the community.

We developed an application that allows users to query the community resources database based on types and geo locations, find facilities on a map, and receive driving or walking directions. The project is built on a number of Google cloud-based technologies such as Google Fusion Tables, Google Maps, Google Chart Tools, and Google Analytics.
