Dr. Ying Zhu Parallel processing and parallel programming concepts are currently focused on the senior and graduate college levels of Computer Science and Information Technology educational curriculums, even though they are playing a bigger and bigger role in all types of new system and software designs. My project aims to teach parallel processing concepts to earlier students (preferably high school and early college) of the engineering and computing fields. The basic concepts of parallelism are introduced in a video-game environment. The challenges of the game are completed by learning various parallel computing concepts in-game and applying them to the problem at hand. Committee
