Biography

I’m from the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. Prior to entering graduate school, I had a few years of industry experience as a software developer, where I worked on front-end applications as well as cloud-based SaaS and HaaS. I used to be an active member of the free and open source community in Nepal, and I’m still a big supporter of free/libre and open source software.

My research focuses on security in cyber-physical systems, including smart grids and water supply systems. I have designed frameworks to detect attacks, including false data injection attacks, and isolate faulty nodes. I have also worked on privacy and security in future network architectures. I’m also interested in trust-based network architectures and home energy management systems.
